When I book shows, I listen for bands that are unique, I listen for something that I haven't heard in this scene, and that's exactly what I found with The Artwork Of. A four piece whirlwind of pure energy and a general pissed off attitude. When they take the stage, they leave it all out, Kevin screaming so hard he nearly passes out, the guitarist and bassist going ape shit, the drummer damn near killing his primal drum set, when I saw them play, honestly the first thing that came to mind was seeing some of Nirvana's earlier shows on video.. pissed off, reckless and loving every single waking second of it..
If you don't know who The Artwork Of is, you need to, then again, if you don't know you'll probably be getting punched in the ears soon enough anyway!

Two years have passed since the monster known as The Artwork Of was created. Since inception, TAO has continued to make a mockery of the underground hardcore scene with their patented nonsensical musicianship and lyrical content calling out BS as far as the eye can see.
So far, 2013 has seen the release of a new form of Split EP with friends Me Versus I. "Brothers" was another step in an interesting direction with both bands coming together as one to create a musical abhorrence that both bands claim should not have been done, all while still sticking to their DIY roots. By the end of 2013, we should expect another blasphemy from The Artwork Of with a highly anticipated new release with a new line up.
