Bio
The Astronots are an American rock band founded by childhood friends Niko
Giaimo and Allee Fütterer. After attending junior high and college together, the
two friends reconnected in Los Angeles while working in Film film & Television
television Musicmusic. Niko, a film composer (Dexter, Season 8) and trumpet
player by trade (Dexter, Season 8), had the dream of starting a rock band and
reached out to Allee, a Los Angeles bass player (Kiesza, Sasha Pieterse), to ask
her to rehash her roots and bring “rock and roll back”. Together they
pulled in more of their childhood friends who also attended Berklee College of Music
with them. The band's sound is reminiscent of and rooted in classic rock & blues rock.
The Astronots are: Niko Giaimo, Allee Fütterer, Eddie Campbell, Graham Spillman
The Astronots recorded their first EP, tentatively titled, “Rain Jammo” in the summer of
2015 at Woodshed Recording and Elias Arts, Santa Monica.
