Trends have changed pretty drastically over the last ten years. Punks not dead became false, DJs replaced cover bands and vinyl made a comeback. We’ve watched it happen and still managed to find music today.
The Atlantic began with Pat MacLean and a collection of leftover acoustic songs that needed a name. He toured the world, most notably with pop outfit Cute Is What We Aim For. After a handful of disbanded projects and credit card bills a mile long, Pat returned home to Niagara – discouraged and exhausted.
After too much coffee, far too many cigarettes, and a whole lot of convincing from an old friend, it was decided that The Atlantic would pick back up again, this time with a full band, and with MacLean front and centre. This is just that. Here we are today – a couple of twenty somethings that just want to play – this is The Atlantic.
