The Aurelius

Playing music with depth beyond his 21 years, Jordan Parker, The Aurelius, is performing as Austin's hippest old soul. Jordan's Folk Noir style is a blend of dark subject matter, his Appalachian-influenced, Georgia-under-the-Pines early years and his South Texas Mesquite upbringing.
Planted firmly now in Austin, Texas, the Live Music Capital of the World, his reputation in music has spread across the country pressed forward by his resonant voice, as heard on the single "In a State Of", and his old school slide guitar and finger-picking style. A versatile vocalist and musician growing more popular nationwide with songs like "Home is You (I Are Missing You Here Too)" including his well-deep, haunting lyrics and soul-stirring harmonica flavor, he stands out even in this musical environment. Recorded and accompanied by musician Rich Brotherton on his latest EP, Black Otis, Jordan has been accused of guerrilla recording tactics due to his high standards and musical work ethics to get the most out of his time in the studio.
