Bio
the autumn resonance is created by multi-instrumentalist edward lalonde who performs his music with standard instruments, analog tape loops (recorded live on the spot) and drum machines to ensemble an orchestra of sound and rhythm which is slightly improvised, site-specific. edward struggles to find harmony between his backgrounds in architecture and music through the experiments with the autumn's resonance in which rhythmic, structural, theoretical and critical parallels arise. the music takes timbre and tenor from glenn branca's early work in the 1980's in which the orchastra's focused on guitar and experiments in intonation. the music exists within the post-rock era with some hints at folk via cash, guthrie and cohen (if these 3 were only in search of "finding rhythm"). edward lalonde has been playing music for 20 years and has been part of several rock bands in the late 1990's which played and toured the pacific northwest, mainly portland, oregon in venues such as the Xray Cafe, Thee O and the white house.
