Bio

The Aviator Set was started by guitarist/singer Chelsea Tyler and drummer Chris Galante through a local music organization. Tyler recalls, "I moved from North Carolina to Maryland in high school and started writing some songs and met Chris. He was a drummer unlike any one I had seen or played with, so we started the band." Although the band feels like they got a fresh start in the summer of 2010, their name dates back years in their local music scene. Over summer 2010, with the additions of bassist Craig Perkins and guitarist Scott Bacon, the band set out to record their debut EP. "We took months to write the EP and basically wrote over 20 songs trying to get everything we wanted. After that we demoed and demoed and demoed until we had exactly what we wanted." It was in the winter of 2010 that the Aviator Set went up to Lancaster, PA to record the 6 song EP with I Call Fives producer Kory Gable and Bryan Czap (of the Dangerous Summer).

The Aviator Set's debut EP "Better Days" will be released on February 22nd, 2010. The band hopes/will be touring in late Winter/Fall of 2011. Please consider booking them for all package/support tours.
