Leader and principal song writer of the Awkward Stage, Shane Abram Nelken is a popular Vancouver multi-instrumentalist who has played with A.C.Newman,the New Pornographers, Nicole Atkins, Sparrow, etc. as well as contributing music to the award winning documentary The Corporation.
Heaven Is For Easy Girls marks his first solo outing
under the Awkward Stage moniker.
The album is produced by The New Pornographers'
drummer Kurt Dahle who plays on it as well.
Shane currently works as a cremationist in Vancouver.
