"The BaDD HaBBiTs 2011 Vancouver"

“As I was sitting here watching the Juno’s from my home in the mountains, it started to bum me right out. Not to take away from the individuals realizing a dream, it was touching to watch Nickelback’s response to their fan’s choice award, but my musical being couldn’t help cry out ‘I need something more!’ Quickly I grabbed hold of my laptop and started searching, when all of sudden I found what my ears needed to hear at that exact moment.

The BaDD HaBBiTs are the best thing happening in the west. These guys embody a musical sense that could sit in the same realm as The Talking Heads and Oingo Boingo. Simply put, if you like rockin, funkiness that crosses over genres while always offering the drive that one would find in the punk realm, then check these guys out right now! This band really is amazing.“

“A strong rendition of new song ‘Drum and Drive’ started the set list, but it was the familiar strains of ‘Think Deep’, the title track off their ‘Kickin’ the Juke’ cd, that had the audience out of their seats and on to the dance floor. ‘Clap Yo Pants’ continued the funk/rock drive and kept the uninitiated from returning to their seats – no wallflowers for this band!”

Bio

The BaDD HaBBiTs
Rarely does a rock band combine explosive guitars with an intense passion and purpose. For The BaDD HaBBiTs, it’s all about communicating and connecting with people on a different level. With Massimo Sabatini on vocals, Brent Grassie on guitar, Sean Lofvendahl on bass and Anthony Tam on drums, there is no denying that this band creates a purely original and energetic sound.
Musically, The BaDD HaBBiTs draws as much from the The Police and The Clash as current bands like Muse and The Gaslight Anthem to create swirling power pop riffs, full of melodies and textures that force you to tie up your boots and get on the dance floor. "We've never fit in any of the genre boxes," says Massimo. "I think that diversity is our strength."
The BaDD HaBBiTs debut record ‘Kickin’ The Jukebox’ was released the summer of 2009 - the record was well received and enabled the band to play a wide variety of concerts and festivals, establishing a fan base stretching across all age groups and demographics. 2012 is the year of the HaBBiTs... With their latest EP release ‘Creatures Of HaBBiT’ the band is poised for success with many exciting things happening including the release of a video for their single ‘This Chorus Is For You’ and a summer tour to support the new record – Come out and support your BaDD HaBBiTs!
