The Badjohns

The Badjohns

The exciting sound of the Caribbean steelpan combined with fantastic vocals & percussion. Originals, calypso and jazz to cool reggae and uptempo salsa and soca rhythms for partying. Over half the band originate from the Caribbean bringing authentic arrangements to this fascinating music.

The Badjohns are a truly unique band on the Australian music scene, with a sound that no other 4 piece has to offer. Their signature sound comes from the blending of conventional instruments with steelpans-the quintessential "feelgood" instrument of the Caribbean islands. With three pan players in the band and three members originating from Trinidad, The Badjohns produce authentic and very interesting arrangements of a diverse range of songs to ensure their music is in a class of it's own.
