BandRock

The Bad Legs is the brainchild of Chicago musician Daniel Wintercorn channeling his traditionally aggressive songwriting through psychedelia, experimentation and noise. The Bad Legs use of analog recording, digital delay and trippy visuals make an unforgettable sound as well as live performance.

Biography

The Bad Legs is the Chicago based lo-fi psychedelic solo-project of Daniel Wintercorn. His purchase of an old four track cassette recorder, and a Boss DD-1 delay pedal during the summer of 2010 sparked the creation of the band’s first songs. The Bad Legs is aggressive songwriting, psychedelia, and endless experimentation, all captured through majesty of analog recording .

The Bad Legs has self-released one full length and two EPs since January 2011. Their live performances include very unique and wonderfully fitting projected visuals.

Wintercorn has longevity in the Chicago music scene. Starting when he was in high school, he was the singer, songwriter, and guitar player for the punk band SKG. Then in 2001 he released an EP for his solo-experimental-hardcore project, Every Light: Red. Wintercorn’s most notable work was done with the band Break the Silence from 2002 to 2006 as the singer, songwriter, and sole lyricist. They were signed to Hopeless/Sub City Records, where they released one EP and one full-length. Since then, Wintercorn has experimented, and developed a musical style unique to him.
