Bio
The Bad Mics take their name from the type of microphones often sold at Radioshack. The band was founded by lead singer and songwriter Matt Mruzek in 2009 in New York City, where the group played their first shows in Brooklyn, Times Square, and the East Village. Late in 2009, the group was reformed in Michigan with the new members, Danielle, Koji, and Eric. The band now plays in Detroit, Ypsilanti, Ann Arbor and Toledo area.
The songs vary from social issues within the country to poking fun at the different life styles in Ann Arbor, to breaking up with your girlfriend online. We want to be known for our music not any style, look, or tone. We want to shake people up, and expose them to the weirdness.
