Spicy Jambalaya

Written By: Don Kelly Brown

Words and Music Kelly Brown

She’s my Spicy Little Jambalaya full of Cajun spice,
We go together like read beans and rice.
Like the cayenne pepper in the Gumbo,
Or the squeeze box in zydeco.
Gonna keep her till the day I die,
She’s my spicy little jambalaya.

Early morning on the bayou till midnight down on Bourbon Street.
She’ll be all over town; she’ll be on her feet.
You can find her on the dance floor, dancing to the zydeco,
Using what her momma gave her the boys all watch her go.

Drinking hurricanes at Pat O’s, monsoons at the Port O Call,
Hand grenades at the Tropical Isle, she never hits the wall.
She’s a hard party woman, the kind we all want to meet,
But at the end of the day she’s gonna leave with me.
