The Bakers

The Bakers

Three-piece original alternative/classic/Brit-rock. Tight, rhythmically inventive songs combined with a big vintage-rock sound like Jet, The Strokes, White Stripes, Raconteurs, and Kings of Leon.

The Bakers blend classic rock tone and style with a unique and refreshing, modern rhythmic twist. Their sound is a blend of their modern rock and classic rock influences, from Zeppelin and The Stones to Foo Fighters, The Strokes, and Kings of Leon.

College club favorites at their hometown school, UW Oshkosh, The Bakers have realized a niche in college pubs and bohemian indie-rock clubs in the upper-Midwest. You can catch them regularly at The Reptile Palace, Oshkosh WI and Mill Creek Bar, Appleton WI.

Some recent highlights for The Bakers include playing a Dec 29 2007 date with fellow Appleton-based rockers, The Wildbirds (Universal/Pats Record Co) at The Reptile Palace in Oshkosh, WI as well as a November 2007 date with their friends, Verona Grove (Universal/Pats Record Co) and the Shock Stars (former Luck Boys Confusion) at Mill Creek Bar, Appleton WI.

In early 2008 The Bakers released their first, self-produced 5-song EP. Look for their full-length late 2008. Their looking forward to increasing their college touring, and play more of their favorite cities; Chicago, Appleton, Minneapolis, Milwaukee and Madison in 08-09.
