Bio

Inspired by the 1960’s Australian TV Series Theme song "Skippy the Bush Kangaroo", Taylor Pfeiffer, has been playing the 5-String Banjo for six years. Thirteen year old Taylor, known around Australia as "The Banjo Girl", loves to sing, yodel and accompany herself on her Banjo.

Taylor is a regular performer at Bluegrass and Country Music Clubs and Festivals around Australia. Taylor has performed on stage with Multi Golden Guitar & APRA winners Bill and Kasey Chambers, Troy Cassar-Daley, The Davidson Brothers, Carter & Carter, Pete Denahy and at the 2013 Tamworth Country Music Festival, Lee Kernaghan in front of thousands of people at Bi-Centennial Park, Tamworth NSW.

After busking in Tamworth (January 2013), Australia’s Country Music Capital, Taylor was invited by Executive Producer John Walker, from Nashville’s “Music City Roots” to perform on stage “My Daddy was a Yodelling Cowboy” for their show “Nashville’s Music City Roots” Live from Tamworth Town Hall, for Nashville and CMC Foxtel (TV). Taylor performed at fourteen shows at the Tamworth festival, including her own show at Tamworth World, with a big crowd with standing room only. She also interviewed Lee Kernaghan on ABC Radio, which was broadcasted around Australia. Taylor was interviewed & performed for TV by Philippa McDonald for ABC1 7pm News & ABC24. She was also invited to perform at three Adelaide Fringe Shows (March) and has shows booked throughout Australia.

Taylor is a graduate from the “2012 and 2011 CMAA Australian Academy of Country Music - Junior Course” in Tamworth NSW.

Taylor is also a keen songwriter with awards to her name. Taylor won 1st Place in the ASME Young Composers Awards 18 years and under, 3rd Place in the ACMF National Songwriters Competition, was a Finalist in the Australian Songwriters Awards, Tamworth Songwriters Awards & Music Oz Awards.
