The Barbara & Al Boudreau quintet

The Barbara & Al Boudreau quintet

BandJazzCabaret

This band is an excellent high energy - totally entertaining group that interprets the Great American Songbook with vocal duets in the style of the great Jackie and Roy. This band has been together about 12 years and are good friends as well as fellow band members

Biography

The husband and wife team of Barb and Al is what sets this band apart from others. They were married in Zaire Dec. 3, 1995 at the hippo pool with over 100 hippos in the river behind them. The picture is on the first CD "TWO SING FOUR . . . AND MORE" Every performance is uniquely different with the banter that passes between the two. They just released their second CD at SCULLER'S JAZZ CLUB in Boston to a packed room in an absolutely dazzling performance. The fun that they have onstage rivals that of Louie Prima and Keely Smith or Steve and Edie but the vocal work is more like Jackie and Roy.
