The Bashments first hit the stage in November of 2008. In a years worth of stage time, they have shared the stage with legendary reggae and ska acts such as The Melodians, Eric "Monty" Morris, Eek A Mouse, General Smiley (of Michigan and Smiley), Gyptian, Warrior King, and have been the backing band for the rocksteady sensation- Pat Kelly. Within a few weeks after recording their five song demo, The Bashments caught the eye of MossBurg- an indie label out of Texas known for international ska acts such as Contra Coup and The Stingers. The Bashments' first single hit the dancehalls in February- 7"vinyl w/'In My Life' and 'Hong Kong Flu'. The Bashments' newest EP, due out in Dec. '09, will feature the legendary 'ska queen' herself- Doreen Shaffer (most known for her vocals with The Skatalites).
