BB Batts is a post indie rock, alternative, pop band from New York City composed of Mike Colonna (drums), Diego Chaos (bass), Joey Halimi (guitar) and Lulu Nocera (lead singer, guitarist, songwriter). The band was formed in 2010 by Lulu, also known as Nocera. Renowned for her Billboard charting dance singles, ‘Summertime, Summertime’ and ‘Let’s Go,’ her sound has reached millions with her radio hits and live performances around the world. The BB Batts are now rehearsing
in NYC and will soon gig to promote the newly released album ‘Hypnotized’ and the first single
‘Rock the Catwalk’.
LULU: The album ‘Hypnotized’ captures the sound and passion of me as an artist rediscovering the
music that inspired me to become a singer & musician, rediscovering the love for music as a
teenager, the 60’s mod rock and 70’s rock inspired me to write songs at a very early age. It’s an album about my personal experiences of love and life.
The BB Batts offer a whole new pop thrill, a blend of Pop/Rock/Post Punk Indie Rock songs, infused with a “Beatlesque” sound. The tracks on the album ‘Hypnotized’ include the first single ‘Rock The
Catwalk’, a song capturing the attitude of people from NYC to LA wanting to become a star, ‘I Love
The Beatles and The Rolling Stones’ is a ‘groovy’ nostalgic biographical song about singer Lulu’s life experiences as a pop diva in her early career, the album title track ‘Hypnotized’, is about the universal laws of ATTRACTION and the effect it has on the writer, a psychedelic vibe and a razor sharp hook, with a great George Harrison type guitar solo, ‘You’re Great’, a beautiful Paul McCartney-ish down tempo song about finding great friends and love in your life, ‘People With Attitude’, if you’ve ever had an encounter with a snooty person, then this is your theme song. People of all walks of life can relate, even Master Yoda. ‘Say You’re Sorry’ is a seductive sing-along story about love and breakups; (It’s upbeat, simple and said to be ‘addictively’ sweet by listeners), ‘Nothing Else Compares To You’ is a wholesom. ‘Fleetwood Mack-ish’ acoustic jam with round-the-world appeal.

Lulu Nocera aka Nocera reached the top 10 Dance Billboard Chart, 100 Pop Billboard Chart, R&B Billboard Chart and Top 10 US Radio Charts. Her TV appearances included Club MTV, Dance Party USA and the 1991 Rock in Rio Concert, performing with Information Society. She signed with Sleeping Bag Records in 1986, and released the single, "Summertime, Summertime" that same year. The single from her debut album "Over The Rainbow reached # 2 on Billboard's Hot Dance/Club Play chart in 1986. The album also featured "Let's Go," a track remixed by Little Louie Vega and written by Peter Angell. It reached # 8 on the Hot Dance/Club Play chart in 1987.
Lulu is also an accomplished DJ who has spun at major clubs, lounges and celebrity events. Her DJ credits include events for designer Michael Koors, 'Sex and the City' Party at Bryant Park Hotel, a Jimmy Fallon birthday party and gigs for America Magazine and Fresh Cosmetics. Lulu was the DJ and live performance music producer for '30 Years of Magic' cellebration honoring Michael Jackson at Wesbster Hall in 2004. In 2005, Mos Def recorded a remake of 'Summertime, Summertime' featuring Esthero.
Lulu has performed with The Freestyle Explosion Tour. Her new band, The BB Batts are scheduling concerts in New York to support the release of their debut CD "Hypnotized."
