Bio
The Bear Beats Band are a collaboration of four solo musicians, namely Lisa Boas (vocals / classical guitar / saxophone), Darren "the Beats" Jones (african hand percussion / cajon), Skeet “The Bear” Williams (lead and rhythm guitar / octave mandolin / banjo etc), Oscar South (bass guitar / double bass). They come from the beautiful countryside of Denbighshire in North Wales and play an intoxicating mix of blues, folk and jazz, blended with elements of world music. Although all four were previously solo artists they found within a few hours of playing together that their styles gelled, and that together they created a breathtaking and wholesome fusion of tribal energy and Celtic dreamscapes.
