"Rap Industry.com"

Muzique Moderne, as the event was titled, got nderway with an animated performance by a trio of Hip Hop heads known as The Beatards. Consisting of DJO, Chuck Wild, and Utk the INC., The Beatards hibbidy bip bopped their way across the stage to raise the Highline Ballroom's party meter off the charts. It was an explosion of spontaneous big beat turntablism combined with freestyle flows as fast as the ear can hear, and the crowd's applause validated The Beatards' energetic dominance. - Sam Frank

"Time Out New York"

The Beatards hit the decks to do their live-remix, four-turntable routine, while a wide range of top artists take to the stage for live funk-fueled performances. This edition features onstage turns from erstwhile Digable Planets member Ladybug Mecca, soul belter Stephanie McKay, rapper Black Spade (he has some great tracks with producer Nicolay) and the young Miz Metro. A slew of great performers joins the deck-wrecking Beatards on the Lower East Side. - TONY

"Not The Same Old Mix"

Usually the best parties are those sporadic but inspired events that leave you fiending for more. Case in point, the unique Mixtape Riot! which only hppens every couple of months and features the BEATards DJ crew....

The BEATards' ever-hypnotic beats, worked off of a four turntable set up, also act as the perfect mixtape-themed soundtrack to the club's always impressive list of MC/vocal guests who effortlessly pop up throughout the night's six-hour mix. It also guarantees a smooth and seamless, non-stop flow of perfectly mixed hip hop music all night long- just as a "MixTape" should!

"The Webby Awards"

Dear reader,
These are the Beatards. They performed first and they sang with righteousness. It was a bit like watching the Beastie Boys before they blew up with their hit single "Girlfriend in a Coma." - Gawker

Bio

The Beatards have made their home in New York City. The three eclectic innovators: DJO, Chuck Wild, and UTK the INC, started the innovative MIXTAPE RIOT! parties where artist such as Santigold, Spank Rock, Trouble Andrew, Kudu and over 60 others have performed at. The Beatards blend a popular variety of hip-hop, electronic, punk, and international sounds that reflect upon the band's diverse individual backgrounds and collective global experience. In recent months they have performed around the country in popular venues and clubs sharing the stage with artists such as Public Enemy, Mr. Lif, Shwayze, LMFAO, Kid Cudi, Lady Sovereign, to name a few. They are featured on a current compilation for Santastic Clothing in Japan alongside Wale, Travis McCoy from Gym Class Hero's, Kid Cudi and others. The group has licensed over 20 songs to MTV in the past few months and their remixes are spread all over the web and featured in many popular blogs and DJ sites. A fire has been lit and heads are starting to turn in the industry. The groups fan base is growing every day and their live show is so energy packed it leaves bodies sweaty on the dance floor. The Beatards make music for the NEW generation. Don't be afraid of these big bad beats. After all, some things are better outside of the box.
