‘Folk ’n’ Roll’ from Copenhagen, DK

It all started out as a solo project in 2015, after the songwriter, Esben Hegelund had been a part of the folk duo - My Secret Place.

After 3 years, with 3 EP releases and a number of live shows including ones in London, Brighton, Manchester, Berlin and Barcelona, the duo decided to go separate ways and focus on other projects.

Shortly afterwards, ‘Esben Hegelund’ presented his new demo material on the internet and they were among the ‘recommendations of the week’ on DR (Danish Radio)

The new songs were of a bit more roll than folk and Esben needed some musicians to back him up when playing live.

 Esben & The Beautiful Addiction were now a reality and the band went into the studio to record three new singles.

 The first single; ‘You Made Me Stay (All Night)’, which is a danceable, sixties-inspired, surf-rock, love song, was released on the 31st of January 2016

 Esben & The Beautiful Addiction invite you on a nostalgic trip back to all the great things from the Sixties – the Golden Age of Rock ‘n’ Roll!

They blend a clear retro-rock style with their own modern sound.

 Some have called them a mix between John Lennon and Pete Doherty, Beach Boys and Oasis.

They call it ‘Folk ’n’ Roll’.
