"It's impossible to dislike The Beladeans latest album"

"If you’ll pardon the visual, the Beladeans play from the groin. Which counts for something these days..." - March 2011 - The Georgia Straight, Adrian Mack

"The Beladeans"

"The Beladeans are purveyors of the true soul-garage Northwest sound. Grindin' guitars and gut-spillin', rough 'n' ready rave-ups that lay it down over and over." - BeatRoute Magazine

"Pub 340 Show"

I was into this band and enjoyed myself immensely. - Jade Sperry

"The Cadaver Dogs, The Beladeans, and The Surf Messiahs: Friday, Nov 7 @ The Railway Club"

Just when I thought it couldn’t get any hotter in The Railway Club, The Beladeans hit the stage running. Mike Hawk’s heavy guitar comes ripping off the stage like the sheet lightning that illuminates The Rockies in summer. - Baron S. Cameron

"THE BELADEANS AMP UP THE 1950'S SOUND"

"A live performance from The Beladeans is like a punch in the face that leaves you asking for another. It's a powerhouse of funky, alcohol-fueled sound, and you can tell they treat every show like a celebration." - Steven Szary

"The Beladeans CD"

"Pure Teenage Zit Rock Angst!" - Nardwuar The Human Serviette

Bio

The Beladeans hail from Vancouver BC, we started in 2001 as a three piece with only guitar, drums & a sax player. The band remained that way for a number of years as we worked on our sound. Over the years and a few lineup changes, the band has evolved into a four piece with guitar, drums, tenor sax and trumpet. Yes, you read right, we have no bass player in the band, which gives The Beladeans an unusual but unique and original sound.

Our "sound" could be described as Northwest Garage Rock (The Sonics & The Wailers) with the raw soul grooves of greats like Ike Turner and the Stax Records lineup, we also include Don Rickles, Animal House and The Rockford Files on that list as well. When The Beladeans play, people MOVE...dance, rock out, mosh what have you, but nobody stands still.

All members of The Beladeans have been active in the Vancouver music scene for years in popular local bands such as The Stag Reels, Seamen, The Hell Caminos, The Surf Messiahs and Thee Manipulators. The Beladeans frequently play in well known Vancouver clubs such as The Railway Club, The Biltmore and The Rickshaw Theatre. We have some impressive gigs under our belt as well, opening for such acts as The Bell Rays, Bob Log III, King Khan & BBQ and The Pack as well as playing charity events for the Humane Society.

Our CD has just been released by independent Vancouver label Neptoon Records and is available at their shop as well as online http://www.neptoon.com, Neptoon mail-order, online at Itunes, CD Baby and through our website http://www.thebeladeans.com. The CD captures the high energy of The Beladeans Rock N' Roll Soul Sound...pick one up today!
