Bio
The Bennys have been performing throughout Northern California and Nevada since 2004. The band formed when singer/songwriter Bobby Martinez gathered musicians from well known area bands to create an eclectic musical experience. From theatres, to clubs to house parties, The Bennys have developed a solid sound and a forward looking approach. In 2006, The Bennys won a SAMMIE in the R&B/ Funk Category, an award recognizing Sacramento bands achievements.
Their easygoing sound is a relaxing blend of island music and modern folk with upbeat rhythms. The band’s full length album “Elevator Shoes” has been getting radio airplay throughout the region and favorable reviews. With funky beats that people can dance to, or groove along with from their seats, a performance by The Bennys leaves audiences with an experience they won't soon forget.
