"Cork bands WOW at IMRO"

"The best band on the night however had to be The Berries, and if any of the six A&R people are worth their salt, they'll have took note of this up and coming band. In Richard O'Flynn, The Berries have a guitarist and singer every inch a rock star. Musically, their mix of funk, rock and soul is infectious and, judging from the reaction of the crowd, they have amassed a decent following in the last year". Padraic Geoghegan
- Downtown Magazine, Evening Echo (5th May 2005)

"Berries EP Review"

"The other 3 tracks of the EP have a spacious, widescreen feel to them that allows vocalist Richard O'Flynn in particular to shine "
- Hotpress Magazine (1st Dec 2004)

"The Berries new release"

"The Berries ripen... Hotly-rated Cork outfit The Berries go for chart glory with the release this week of their cheekily-titled If They Don't Care, Why Should I? EP. While nothing whatsoever like The Cranberries, the four-tracker does have a melodious edge to it that we can see going down a storm in the States." - Hotpress.com news (28th Oct 2004)

"Review of Alone (1st EP)"

"West coast harmonies, a soaring melody, stinging wah-wah and lyrics about peace love and understanding. This Cork outfit have a lot going for them in the song-writing and performing department..."
- Hotpress Magazine (Colm O'Hare 17th of May 2004

"Review of 1st EP & Launch Gigs"

"I saw them 3 weeks ago and they were great, really, really good live. They’ve a great following. I was at the gig and there was 250 or 300 people and I was like ‘flipping hell’ how did this happen? Very accomplished, they’re really good musicians. The singer’s got a great voice, a really powerful voice. Judging from the quality of this they have huge potential"
- Ashley Keating (RedFM and Campus radio, Frank and Walters)

"Review of If they don't care why should I?"

“Lo-Fi lead track I Got Mine has all the credentials to be a sure fire radio hit, although it is not the best on offer here. That honour goes to Take Charge of a Life.” “Richard O’Flynn has yet to harness his immeasurable singing talent but is on top form on the gorgeous Shaping Each Day."

Alan Good, 11th Nov 2004 - Evening Echo , 11th Nov 2004

"Single Review"

Hotpress single review ... "The Berries second EP heralds the arrival of another new band band to keep peepers peeled for. The Berries are nothing if not versatile - 'I got mine' is a pleasantly energetic funk tune, while take charge of a life' is a more ambitious emotive song. "
