"XXL's The Break"

Name: Reason

Age: 27

Reppin’: Orlando, FL

My style and/or skills have been compared to: Kanye West and Fabolous

I started rapping: At the age of 16

My standout records and/or moments have been: My standout records are “Life of a Star” featuring Raz, “Celebrate”, “Bright Lights” featuring Sarah Winters, and “The Reality.” My standout moments have been moving to Los Angeles and performing on Sunset Blvd at venues like The Roxy, Whisky A Go-Go, and The Standard Hotel.

I’m gonna change the game by: Not trying too hard to change it. Everyone is so bent on changing the “game” that they don’t spend a lot of time changing the sound of music, the creativity, etc. Honestly, artists who say they’re gonna change the game, end up making it worse.

My goal in hip-hop is: To leave a permanent mark, and to create timeless music for the next generation.

I’d Like to work with: Creative and honest artists who don’t give a crap about crossing genres and all that stuff. I just wanna work with artists who live music everyday.

I’m gonna be the next: Artist to raise the bar another notch.

But that was never a deterrent for the young talent, who eventually found himself rapping for Diddy on MTV's "Making The Band 2". After appearing on video game soundtracks, performing all across the world, and releasing critically-acclaimed mixtapes, Reason finally decided to further emulate his idol by moving to Los Angeles. Now at age 26, Reason has matured into a natural entertainer and showman, with Rat Pack-like charisma and style. He's on the brink of releasing his debut EP "The Cool Graduate" and the music video for his single "Life of a Star," a track that certifies him as a Hip-Hop crooner extraordinaire. The budding rapper/screenwriter plans on taking the entertainment industry by storm, with great music, television, and film projects in the works. Much like his idol, Reason plans to do everything with a sense of coolness, class, and sophistication. The kind of qualities that made Dean Martin a legend. Something that Reason hopes to one day become...
