The Best Richard is a hip hop group consisting of Monsoon Ricos Richard and Donnie Dupree Richard. These two emcess began rhyming at young ages and developed their skills in the city of Chicago. Traveling across the country performing has earned The Best Richard a reputation as energetic and humorous performers and also students of the art. The Best Richard are definitely showman on stage and lyricist in the booth.
The Best Richard have opened up for hip hop legend Slick Rick at the world famo us First Avenue in Minneapolis. The Best Richard was able to amaze the crowd and meet Prince at an afterparty (what a night!!!). The Best Richard opened up for Slum Village at Crash Mansion in Los Angeles. This show lead to a small set in Orange County that same night. The Best Richard have performed at numerous respected venues in Chicago such as The Metro, The Double Door, and underground hip hop mainstay Subterranean.
The Best Richard have had songs featured in Chicago publications (The Redeye, The Reader, etc.....), and had songs added to compliations to increase awareness of drunk driving. The Best Richard music is extremely appealing and entertaining.
