The Big Church of Fire is a music act from Portugal, Lisbon.

In 2009 they recorded their debut EP in N.Y. Hed Studios with sound engeneering and mixing being handled by the world class rock n roller Matt Verta-Ray and mastered by Masaki Liu at One Way Studio (San Francisco).
Their EP named, "For Tura, with Love" features cult-movie actress Tura Satana in the cover, femme fatale and kung-fu kick ass baby.

They are best know for being a two men band playing rock, blues, western folk and neo-psychedlia in wich the members play all instruments in a variety of configurations, but mainly guitars, tambourines, synths, harmonica, and the ocasional drums (more known as the snare killing rountine). Most of their shows are played with a drum machine, but they have played on some ocassions with other fellow

According to band founders, Reverend Joe and Brother Louie - the Pilgrim, their influences are The Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Johnny Cash, Led Zeppelin, The Legendary Tiger Man, Dead Combo, Jack Daniels, Constantino (strong portuguese brandy booze - Macho stuff) and strippers.

They first emerged in the Portuguese music scene in late 2007, making best use of also emerging online social media and jumping to some well know venues, such as Cabaret Maxime in Portugal, an old famous cabaret turned into bohemian venue in the heart of Lisbon and Lakeside Lounge in New York City, famous for having featured music legends on stage such as Joey Ramone, Dolemite, and the Yahoo's and also home of the best jukebox in NY.
