The Band started as a game in 2007 when all of the band members started to play covers, at the end of 2008 the band is playing at the a rock cafe in Tijuana Baja California and Tony Lomeli invites all of the members to have a reunion where Tony encourages the band to create their own songs, the creation of songs started at 2009 with pigs of the city, a song that describes the attitude and risk of the graffity on the streets, right after this first song came one after another until the first cd got completed.
The influence is a mixture of several groups too large to mention.
The main voice is what sets The Black Jewel apart from other bands, while other voices are clean high and nice, Kevins Voice is hard strong and with a great projection the good speed of the drums and the talent of the main guitar creates a unique conbination of sounds which makes you Rock!!!!
There have been 2 presentations on Radio stations in Tijuana Baja California Mexico as well as a presentation in TV at Rosarito Baja California.
