The best kept secret in music

"“The first rule of Black Ops is you don’t talk about Black Ops!”"

New shit! Feeling this leak from the secretive brand new Black Opera project, including the blacked out silhouettes and vintage TV collage elements in the video directed by Andy Madeleine. Wish we could tell you more than that but they are strictly on some Skull n’ Bones type shit–the first rule of Black Ops is you don’t talk about Black Ops! In fact in answer to your next 5 questions: 1) I honestly cannot recall. 2) I cannot disclose that information. 3) On the advice of counsel, I plead the fif. 4) How bad you wanna know? 5. *Leaves room* - OKAYPLAYER

Feeling a bit camera shy

The Black Opera is Raps first Performing Arts group. The group is comprised of well known artists who have chosen to hide their identities for the sake of making the following statement: Art is all that matters. The Black Operas creative collective has roots from Nigeria, Uganda, Madagascar, France and the United States. Thriving on anonymity for their selfless cause, they lose themselves in a different characters costume per song during their live presentations. They are a hard act to follow. Yes, they really alter their look for every song they preform. This magical showmanship and visual ingenuity has attracted the eyes of everybody from the spiritual scientist Deepak Chopra to one of Hip-Hops favorite crews the Hieroglyphics, to Snoop Dogg who selected their video Villains as #1 on his video countdown show Underground Heat.  Legendary MC Tajai Massey from Souls of Mischief/Hieroglyphics says: If you havent heard or seen TBO perform, you need to slap yourself. Literally my favorite group in hip-hop right now. Recently Deepak Chopra proclaimed The Black Opera as one of his top 3 Rap artists on The Queen Latifah Show as Latifah cued the TBO song The Black Opera to play. The Black Operas track Monsters and Robots was featured in USA Today and also became the theme and title for a retro arcade-style video game. The Black Opera has achieved a lot of milestones in a short time of existence and this is just the beginning.
