Bio
From the very beginning The Black Rose Phantom’s own take on music was one that was never heard before. Taking a mixture of traditional Psychobilly music (made popular in Europe during the 1980’s), along with various influences from Metal, Punk and Country/Rockabilly Genres.
Based out of Long Beach, CA The Black Rose Phantoms formed in late 2002. With only a short 8 months the band was asked to join Hell Cat Records very own Nekromantix as they ventured on a West Coast Tour. Within the months that followed, the band found themselves in the studio recording their Far From Heaven demo. Once pressed and ready for promotion the band caught yet another opportunity as they went on their second major tour , this time in support of Psychobilly legends, Tiger Army. The tour helped the band branch out to new regions such as the South and Mid-West of the United States.
With the coming of 2007, The Black Rose Phantoms released their much anticipated full length album, Beyond the Wall of Sleep, on independent record label Smelvis Records. In support of the album the band set off on their 3rd major tour playing in such legendary venues as The House of Blues (Anaheim, Hollywood), El Corazon (Seattle), The Venue (Salt Lake City), and The Catalyst (Santa Cruz).
In recent success The Black Rose Phantoms were asked by energy drink sponsorship Roaring Lion to submit a new exclusive track for their compilation Cd that will be distributed well throughout the United States. Jumping at the chance the phantoms hit the studio with all new composed material that will be on their second full length release set for 2011. In other successes the hit song, "Love You More Dead," from there 2008 EP was featured in the short film Cannibal Flesh Riot. Along with other accomplishments, Black Rose Phantoms has been featured in magazines such as Skratch, Deadbeat from Australia and have also had the pleasure of doing backup vocals on Tiger Army’s “Ghost Tigers Rise” release.
In anticipation for 2011 the band finds themselves finalizing the pre-production of their 2nd full length album. The band plans to shock their much respected audience once again with their re-invented unique sound.
