Baby Blues takes you on a delightful musical trip through a day in the life of two blues babies (Cryin' Skies and Billy Blue) along with the hoppin'est bunch of toddler talent you'll find any where. Of course I am speaking of the preschool wide famous Coochie~Coochie Band!
This CD is one of a kind. Not only that it's unique! And FUN!! And makes a wonderful tray for serving strained peas!

Ah just look at the smile on that face. Billy Blue sure looks happy! What's that? You say he must be dreaming about Hittin' The Bottle. The milk bottle that is!
You know, when your as little as me and Billy Blue it just seems as though Momma's Always Pushing Me Around! But she looks so proud when she shows me off!

Wow, Look at her! She's really good! Yeah, she's "The Lovely" Miss Bea Havin! Queen of the crib circuit. "That's right boys. I've got everything nice and lots o' Fisher Price in My Crib. Come on up and visit some time!"
Boy all this dancin' sure works up an appetite I'm a Hungry Baby.

Wow that was a very eventful day. I'm tired! Time to go nighty~night. I'm gonna Sleep Like A Baby tonight!

The Blacktails sound is a mix of Juke Joint Blues with the great Swing, Big Band, & Boogie Woogie styles of the 20's, 30's and 40's. Their influences (to name a few) range from Fats Waller & Louis Jordan to Louis Prima & Frank Sinatra to Muddy Waters & T-Bone Walker. The members of The Blacktails have been together for over 10 years as a sort of musical consort-ion. In their last project, as The Witness Protection Program, they released 2 concept albums featuring Blues and Swing music for children as well as debut album entitled "On The Lamb".
The two children's albums entitled Baby Blues and Swingset immediately attracted the attention of Rounder Records Execs and the albums were distributed nationally to major chains like Borders Books. They were joined on both albums by W.C. handy award winner and fellow Rounder Recording Artist Toni Lynn Washington, as well having renown Jazz Saxophonist Michael Hashim, kick out all the horn arrangements for the Swingset album.
Dynamic lead singer and harp player for The Blacktails, F. William Sullivan, has been a seasoned studio and live musician recording tracks for artists such as Pink, Darius Rucker of Hootie and the Blowfish, and many more. His infectious blues harp playing, unmistakeable voice and onstage antics always steal the show.
Lead guitarist for The Blacktails David Blacker contributed all the arrangements and lead guitar work on the Baby Blues and Swing Set albums. David has been a lifelong student of Blues, Swing and Rockabilly guitar. He is managed by Ligeti Artists LLC in NYC and in a 3 month residency at New York's Stanhope Park Hyatt he and (other Blacktail's member) Peter Farrell put on a duo Django Reinhardt tribute. Now together as The Blacktails the band is pulling from their vast shared experience and delighting blues and swing fans across the country.
