...."Well umm, actually that was kinda an interesting song, and, umm, I actually kinda liked it." Yes, that was Multi-Grammy award winning music producer David Foster's comments on The Blue Sky Traffic's performance of 'Ain't Too Proud to Beg' on NBC"S Star Tomorrow reality show for rock bands. BST was formed in 2001 and is fueled by the songwriting partnership of long time friends, Justin Kalk and Stevie (English) Britton In recent years, Justin opened Maryland's Frederick Blues Fest for Tim Reynolds (of Dave Mathews fame), won the Frederick Blues Guitar Challenge and was sent to Memphis to compete in the Interenational Blues Society Challenge. His animalistic performances are mezmorizingly uninhibited and rooted in a Hendrix meets Lennon or Dylan style. Stevie Britton digs deeper into the subtleties of the songs and breathes a funky, hip-hop influenced guitar and bass style to the mix. Percussionist extrodinaire Lincoln Nesto is the band's rock-solid back beat and puts the perfect touch on their tightly orchestrated rhythms. The Blue Sky Traffic are currently touring the east coast and recording their debut album. Check out their tour schedule and pick up a CD for your sister.
