"Who says roots rock is dead?"

The Blylevens won't be the next big thing. They won't be on TRL (is that even on anymore?), on MTV cribs or in the scandal sheets of E entertainment. Their next album won't be produced by Timberland and feature guest vocals from anybody in Fall Out Boy. Nope. None of that is going to happen. This band is better than that. They don't fit the mold of today's popular bands. Not pop-punk, screamo, emo, hardcore, or heritage metal. They are somewhere in the middle, or on the outside of classifications. Let me explain:

The Blylevens (named for the 1980's pitcher, Burt Blyleven--friggen awesome) are a mixture of stoner rock and 60's cool. Think Queens of the Stone Age meets the Velvet Underground. Their guitar work is meticulous. The vocals are pure. The music is as cool. It's music for turning on and tuning out. Roll a bone, sit back, and let it sink into your face.

Please check these guys' page out, listen to the tunes, and check out their next shows. They are the next great thing.
- John (Thanks a lot John)

Bio

Hello, We're The Blylevens.

Three years ago we started with our original 4 members and today we've written about half a billion songs - some soft, some harder rock. We've been influenced by bands like Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, Dream Theater, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest, etc.

Named after the 1980's Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Bert Blyleven (vote Bert for the Hall of Fame!), The Blylevens are a mixture of stoner rock and 60's cool. Think Queens of the Stone Age meets the Velvet Underground. The guitar work is meticulous, the vocals are pure, the music is as cool. It's music for turning on and tuning out. Let it sink into your face.
