Bio

After studying at the Royal Academy of music, Jo Bones decided to follow his passion for lyrics, blues and RnB. Drawing comparisons to an array of distinguished singer-songwriters from Muddy Waters, Bob Dylan to Tom Waits - Bones shows his preoccupation with the darker sides of life, while retaining a quiet belief in the sacredness of our connections.
Jo has been writing and performing music for over 3 years, Co-writing and producing with long time friend and collaborator Charlie 'boy' Ford; the two formed the band The Bones and recently released the album, ‘Look Inside’, to rave reviews and extensive radio airplay.
Jo and Charlie are supported by Tim on Drums and Pete on bass, both previously session musicians for touring bands including the White Stripes and Snow Patrol they offer an emotionally and musically diverse range for the listener, while tapping into the classic ‘50s and ‘60s style production offering a live “four guys playing in a room” vibe.
