Bio

The Book Of Lists inhabit a Vancouver far removed from the brittle glass houses and overpriced condominiums that currently choke this western town. This is a coastal band, in-touch with nature, but equally in-tune with the raw street beat. With a love of the classic
UK landmarks of the past 40 years, along with their own interminable twang, it's safe to say that the always evolving holy racket conjured up by Chris Frey (singer, songwriter), Laura Piasta (bassist), Trevor Lee Larson (guitarist), and Brady Cranfield (drummer) is pure sound + vision. Red Arrows was The Book Of Lists' first shot, recorded in the winter of 2004 at the Hive Creative Labs with Colin Stewart and Josh Wells (Black Mountain) on the dials. This lysergic jangle pop EP was released by Global Symphonic and sharply drew the attention of taste maker James Endeacott's UK-based 1965 label, who released a 7" single ("Pacifist Revolt" b/w "Sweet Malady") in the summer of 2006. Already a potent live force, the band has shared bills with the likes of Destroyer (of which Frey was a one-time member for the memorable band effort This Night 2LP and tour), Frog Eyes, Brian Jonestown Massacre, and The Doves (UK) among others. With their pedigree intact and a fresh batch of recently produced Hive recordings in the can (once again with Stewart and Wells on board), it's time for the Book Of Lists to turn another page. Listen for the cue; this is the sound of now.
