Bio

Watch Out For The Magnificent Seven !

Here comes The BossHoss !

It all started with hits like Hey Ya or Hot In Herre - 300 gigs and 250.000 albums later The BossHoss are an established Top 10 band with golden success in Germany and a lot of feedback from all countries in central Europe! Any performance of the BossHoss bunch has left girls with tear-filled eyes, the egos of cool guys shining anew, mothers in worry and husbands celebrating the moment with a hump of beer. Most BossHoss fans remember dancing to the songs and later on finding themselves in complete dehydration, drinking their heads off or even making passionate love.

Let us briefly introduce the band. Three years ago, Boss (vocal),
Hoss (vocal, acoustic guitar), Russ (guitar), Guss (double bass), Frank (drums),
Hank (mandolin, harmonica, washboard) and Ernesto (percussion, melodica) tended to meet each other at numerous counters in a number of different bars in Berlin, Mississippi. They decided to make a virtue of necessity. Instead of whiskey and canned music, they decided for whiskey and an amplifier. All of them had previous experience with former bands and business, so it was not a big deal to exchange the local bar against a band rehearsal room!

With their Internashville Urban Hymns, The BossHoss proved an excellent
talent of playing sweeping reinterpretations and writing just as powerful original compositions. The band always stood for heaps of fun, never brainless partying! That’s because it’s about the Holy Grail, the myth of Rock´n´Roll. Then it was time
to reload! The band’s second album Rodeo Radio shows the same contagious charm and convincing character as their stunning debut Internashville Urban Hymns.
Yet, it is of a different nature. Rodeo Radio contains about as many covered songs
as own compositions. Also the choice of originals differs in genres from the debut. Many of the hits chosen are not from the recent, but from a more distant past.

Of course the cowboys from Berlin now also want to find some friends in the
wide landscapes of North America. And the kick off in Canada is very promising:
The BossHoss will play their first Canadian club tour with 8 gigs in March!
Right on time for the tour their first album will be released on the label Fortana North!
And besides that they were already playlisted on 15 college radios nationwide
from St. John´s up to Prince George.

One thing is for sure: Whoever likes to party the real way will have fun with the boys from Berlin. Yeehaw !
