The Brandon Projekt

TheBrandonProjekt, or TBP, was formed in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 2009 by John Hipolito, Grady Wayne, and Brandon Perkins. The Brandon Projekt is a groove-oriented neo-soul, funk and RnB group with musical influences ranging from the blues sounds of Johnny “guitar” Watson and Caribbean influences of the Heptones to the modern soulful sounds of Maxwell. TBP is comprised of professional musicians from all over the United States, whose technical ability and raw talent have produced truly unique original songs, akin to earlier works of Stevie Wonder and funk greats like Earth, Wind and Fire, while maintaining a current sound comparable to Amel Llarrieux, Raphael Saadiq, and Lettuce. As a ten-member ensemble, this band brings a big sound in a very big way; the diverse background of TBP and its members is the magic formula to the special chemistry.
