It's less than a year since brothers Stephen and David LoVerme formed the Brementown musicians, but there is a cohesiveness about them that bears testimony to the simple fact that they have been playing together their whole lives. Adopting their name from the Grim Brothers' story of a traveling band of misfit animals, Brementown's songs are steeped in colorful history, youthful imagination and wanderlust. Switching between guitar, banjo, mandolin and lead vocal duties, the brothers employ a wide range of instrumental textures, blending styles of folk, bluegrass and indie rock. Filling out the trio is Scott Haffercamp on violin and mandolin, whose energetic playing and musicianship ups the ante for the acoustic onslaught. Like their namesake, the Brementown Musicians seek to share the joy of music with all who cross their path.
