The Brew

The Brew, also known as Blue Fungus Brew, is a band that has a very broad style. The formula of the music is as in depth as the hundreds of influences entwined into this four-man unit. The Brew is always taking on different forms as they morph to the crowd in telepathy-like improvisation as songs become movements. The music is jam-oriented, with strong singing and occasional 3 part harmonies. There is a lot of jazz and classical influence in the music and our main focus is to play dynamically as a flowing, breathing musical unit. The environment is what asks us to build up the intensity and calm the place down with sweet, subtle melodies. We are merely pawns in a game as we are tinkered with by greater forces to create vibes and situations. We come from the Merrimack Valley area where we have a very substantial following of human-beings, ages (8-90+). The band is very universal and can adapt easily to your venue as they are very experienced in both the bar/club scene and larger venues such as theatres and outdoor festivals. They have played hundreds of times and satisfied many listeners.

The music really speaks for itself. Aside from the bands original material is a large chunk of cover songs including ’70s, ’80s, Grateful Dead to classical to Styx.
