The Brighter

What does it mean to live a life full of grace? To be fully alive? As the band Switchfoot (one of our influences) puts it: "I want to thrive, not just survive". The thought of following Christ where He leads is often as scary as it is rewarding. So we've known that starting a Christian band would be a rocky and narrow road, but we are passionate about writing music; and being able to share it with others is a dream come true. We feel that The Brighter's main goal is to create a culture where people feel an overwhelming call to action. To step out in faith as believers, and sail into the storms. Dance in the minefields. Walking in faith and boldness wherever he leads, showing love to a broken world.
One of our favorite songs on our new EP is called "Couldn't Be More Beautiful" because of the message of restoration and encouragement in it. God has made everyone with an amazing purpose and calling on their lives, and we are ALL wonderfully made. It's such an amazing feeling to write a song and see people write back saying, "This song really touched my life and encouraged me."
We want to inspire people to step out of the comfort of their life and into the unknown. Leave behind the parched ground of pride and fear and abandon yourself to who God created you to be. Although we've maybe never met you, we love you, and we hope and trust that these songs will inspire you and bring you closer to a lifestyle of radical gratitude, and new perspective.
