Bio

The Brotherly Love Band was formed out of the loss of our brother Randy Bently. It started as jam sessions to remember and deal with the tragic loss. During those sessions we began writing, mostly for ourselves with no intention of becoming a band or recording a record. We all played with various bands around Birmingham and saw these sessions as a chance to stay close with hometown brothers and en...joy the chance to write together. It wasn't long till we had enough original material to do a gig. After that an audition for Don Alias management was set up and he loved it. Don Alias became the manager for the band right there on the spot and scheduled the band's first recording session. He produced a three song demo and immediately got airplay with 105.9 The Bear, The Band was off and running. A moderate following formed within a few weeks and the band was blessed to open for national acts such as Gov't Mule and Warrant. The single "Can't Find My Way Home", written in testament to Randy, enjoyed a long run on the top ten at 10:00 and was rewarded with rotation. Don Alias brought in Vulcan Records to sign the band and recording for the album began. Only, before the record could be finished and released, the label went bust the album never got released. Things fell apart, as they often do. We did however feel that the album should be completed, so, we finished it ourselves and sent it off to be mastered. Up to this point only a few people including the band members have possessed copies, but now with the digital age we are proud to bring you all the recordings from the original album and more. We all hope that any fans who remember us will find us and listen. Please enjoy what we all consider as one of our proudest moments and contributions to the art of music. It was truly magical, and remains to be just as magical every time we get back together to play these songs. It's a brotherhood that will never die. Thanks for being friends and fans from all of us in BLB.
