Lyrics

Made In China

Written By: The Brothers Devine

Yeah, it’s a new kind of terror
One devoutly happiness
Where corporate greed and civilian needs will put life to the test

A new kind of terror
One that’s news to you and me
Where your ignorance and materialist bliss really boost humanity

Well as the kids go bye you go “Uh, oh.”
When we hear they die we go, “Uh, oh.”
As the markets rise we go, “WhoHoo.”
As the rebels cry we go, “Uh, oh, Uh, oh…”

We made a mistake, we need some distraction, if the population only knew, imagine their reaction
We made a mistake, the capitalist faction, if we could only see with more clarity the despair, it’s taunting me.

Well as the kids go bye you go “Uh, oh.”
When we hear they die we go, “Uh, oh.”
As the markets rise we go, “WhoHoo.”
As the rebels cry we go, “Uh, oh, Uh, oh…”

Shhhhh…Shhhhh…

Here’s to all the things I can’t say
Here’s to all the things I can’t say to you
Here’s to all the things I can’t say, but feel, theorize as real, in my head, in my brain, all my pain, here’s to all the things I can’t say

Well as the kids go bye you go “Uh, oh.”
When we hear they die we go, “Uh, oh.”
As the markets rise we go, “WhoHoo.”
As the rebels cry we go, “Uh, oh.”

It just goes La, la, la, la, la, “Uh, oh.”
And it goes La, la, la, la, la, “Uh, oh.”
We just go La, la, la, la, la, “Uh, oh.”
It just goes La, la, la, la, la, “Uh, oh, Uh oh.”

Carbon Copy

Written By: The Brothers Devine

I’m a carbon copy of a vision without end
I spend my days drifting away through the eye of a child’s lens
We’re all carbon copies of a time we thought was lost
We spend our days wasting away selling our lives at market cost

The time is for the lost
Your memories for a cost

We’re a violent people with out hands upon the cross
We spend our days killing away averting our eyes from those whom we emboss

We’re a selfish people, our malevolence knows no end
History knows it’s just how it goes doesn’t waste time under false pretense

The time is for the lost
Your memories for a cost
Time it knows to bounds
When memory resounds

Remembering the sunshine on those crisp September walks
Remembering with moonshine all those far and distant talks
Remembering, remember yourself
Remembering, remember yourself

The time is for the lost
Your memory for a cost
Time it knows no bounds
When memory resounds

In the end I’m nothing, no vision of what’s lost
I spend my days wasting away, and then one day...

Firefly

Written By: The Brothers Devine

Firefly lights the path that leads you, and I.
The world is all we can see.
Smoke leads the fire set by you, and I.
Don't forget me.

My firefly,
I consort with you every night.
Lie awake 'cause your face is too bright.
And the hope the keeps me alive, like candlelight soon will die.

When the world floats and balloon cries, and firefly soars,
When she's all the world I'll ever need, she's all I can see.

My firefly,
I consort with you every night.
Lie awake 'cause your face is too bright.
And the hope that keeps me alive, like candlelight soon will die.
