The California Malibu’s performances have excelled through the ages, founded in 1967 in Stockton California. They have evolved into one of the most enjoyable and entertaining artists of all time. It is rare for a group to sustain their popularity and continuity over four decades and maintain the charisma to entertain audiences of all ages throughout the world.

The California Malibu’s are composed of three original members, Don Carter and Ronnie and Richard Tarkington; they are joined by there talented younger brother, Keith Tarkington together with the soulful voice of Anitra Sha’ron they comprise one of the most soulful and enlightening entertaining artist of today.

The California Malibu’s have been fortunate enough to entertain our servicemen and women, celebrities, dignitaries, Ambassadors, Presidents, Kings, and Queens and the general audience throughout the world. As the opening act for the world renown Platters, the California Malibu’s were widely introduced to opportunities not normally afforded to most entertainers. However following their five year touring with the Platters the California Malibu’s have been fortunate to sustain the tradition by opening for some of the most popular entertainers such acts as; Jackie Wilson, Dyke and the Blazers, Glen Campbell, Barry White, Isaac Hayes, the Temptations, Alabama, the Stylistics, the Gap Band, the Dramatics, the Whispers, Archie Bell and Dells, the Chi Lites, the Spinners, Evelyn Champagne King, the Miracles, Roger and Zapp, Tyrone Davis, Johnny Taylor to speak of a few.

Additionally, they have performed in such places as London, Singapore, Athens, Calgary, Toronto, Vancouver, Beirut, Bahrain and Ethiopia (in the middle of an revolution,) and most strategic airbase’s in the United States. They have additionally performed throughout the United States as well as performing on the “famous Chitlin Circuit” in the South and Southwest.

The California Malibu’s perform all genres of music: R&B, Disco, Country Western, Jazz, Soul, Motown, Funk and Contemporary. The California Malibu’s’ “I Stand Alone” which was released in 1976 was an international hit and is currently being played extensively as an Oldie, but Goodie. A release of “Love Somebody, Love, Someone” is forthcoming.
