Bio
Originally from Manchester, Calvin Roche started singing and playing guitar at the tender age of 12. Since being signed to BGM/HKA in 2010, Calvin has formed his band (Josh on bass, Mike on drums, Rob on guitar and Paul on keys/backing vocals) and has been working on material for his Studio EP and its coinciding Live Version.
Calvin’s influences range from John Mayer, Rufus Wainwright and Coldplay to D Angelo, making his music dynamic, surprising and never one dimensional.
His debut EP, “Fire on the Lake”, consists of guitar driven soulful pop with an indie twist, ridiculously catchy riffs and driving drums, while also showcasing Calvin’s slower, softer side with emotive ballads showcasing his unique vocals and wide range. The Lead single “Fly to you” is a catchy indie love song with a distinct dance influence.
The EP is scheduled for release in early 2012, with the lead single “Fly to You” will be released in March alongside the official video via YouTube and iTunes.
