The Canards are an alt-rock band based out of Calgary, Alberta (Canada). From the moment of their very first jam at the age of 12, guitarist/vocalist Aaron Pollock and drummer Robbie Frank have been lovingly molding their unique sound to reflect the evolution of their musical tastes. With the addition of young guns Jake Simard and Matt Guidos on guitar and bass, these boys take pride in a funky-fresh style that they can call their own. Raised on The Who and Guns N' Roses, The Canards' music is inspired by the energy and raw passion of their rock forefathers. In addition, their sound has been sculpted by a love affair with the reggae/funk flavours of bands like Sublime, Illscarlett, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. To the Canards, there is nothing more beautiful than good music, and their hope is to be able to one day pass on the inspiration and enlightenment that music has gifted them with.
