The Castle's influences are strongly found in the styles of blues, hip-hop, psychedelic rock, grunge, punk, reggae and surf music. As far as band influences you will find traces of Weezer, Nirvana, The Ventures, early Dave Matthews Band, Dinosaur Jr., Radiohead, Nas, Sublime, Cream and The Violent Femmes.
Most bands have a hard time juggling contrasting styles into one bundle of energy, but the Castle walks a tightrope of various colors and never appears to fall off.
Taking all of this into account the Castle is nothing more than an underground pop band on their way to the top.
