Five guys in their mid-twenties trying to write timeless music... it seems like a novel idea these days. With influences ranging from The Band to Waylon Jennings, The Byrds to Big Star, The Championship fits right into the second coming of American folk rock. Big ideas crammed into pop songs, hard lessons with sweet melodies.
The Championship has conducted their career thus far with a typically "American" ethic. Hailing from Milwaukee, a decidely non-musical town, the band has fought against long odds. They've recorded both of their full-length records themselves, started a label to release said albums, and booked their own tours. They've delighted audiences all over the US, from Boston to Seattle, and they will not stop until the job is done...
