In June 2008, five guys came together in a Wisconsin basement with no band name, no gigs and ten songs between them. Two and a half months later, they had their first show booked and got 45 people to come out. The Cheap Shots was born, and took off with nearly 20 gigs over the next year. Two "generations" later, The Cheap Shots is now one of Milwaukee's top cover bands playing all major festivals and venues, private and corporate parties - totaling close to 40 shows a year. In 2013, the band agreed to a sponsorship by Beechwood under the Bud Light label and continues to book high-profile shows across the state.
