Out of the Seattle area comes the band THE CIRCUS IN YOUR TOWN and with a bandname like that, it is no wonder that they are an experimental/prog orientated act. TOOL is clearly one of their major inspirations and the mix of 90s Alternative Rock with Progressive Metal works quite well throughout the 10 included songs. Aside from a few screams, the vocal department is mostly melodic and clean, although towards the end of the CD there’s some more screaming going on. Anyway, the guitarwork is dark, downtuned and quite metal ish, but definitely sounding very professional. I have to say that I found the production of the drums rather striking, because they sound quite in your face, in a way we also heard on the METALLICA album ‘St. Anger’. It took the band 6 years to record a follow-up to their 2006 debut album, but the result is interesting, with somehow as highlight the catchy opener “Painted faces”, which is a very strong Progressive Metal song. Last but not least, the band is actually featuring only 2 musicians, namely guitarist/vocalist Tracy and drummer Josh, 2 young guys delivering high class music. We put out a self titled and self released ep of 8 songs recorded at Plum Tree Studio in 2004. In that time we had a 1 hour slot on a internet radio station for unsigined acts called Artist First (out of Ohio). We had six of our songs streamed on thier hard rock program and a phone interview with the station. in 2006 we self released our 1st full length album that was recorded at Studio Litho (Stone Gossard of Pearl Jam studio) in Seattle WA. it had 15 tracks on it. This album had two years of radio airplay with five of its tracks, and two appearences on the 1 hour slot radio interview on the new music show on a internet radio station Artist First (out of Ohio) 06 and 07. Also In 2006 and 2007 five tracks hit radio stations in the USA, Canada, Greece, Italy, The Netherlands, France, Australia, New Zeland, and Mexico, in 2009 we put out a digital ep of 6 songs that caught the attention of The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences

In 2011 wrote and recorded a new cd called Full Spectrum, released in dec of 2012, three tracks currently are being played on a local radio station in Greece and a local radio station in our local area of WA. 2013 we will be putting Full Spectrum out for more radio promo.

The Circus In Your Town is a 2 piece hard rock / experimental band out of Everett WA. Our influences are based on the sounds around us and everything in our daily lives, in which we transpose it into our music and writings. What set us apart from other bands is that we don't put restrictions on what we write musicly or as a band. Keeping a root of simplicity and tonality, We as a band are always trying to push ourselves forward and not backwards. Leaving room for originality.
