Bio
The City Revival is a new up-and-coming band based in San Antonio, TX with a distinct blend of Country, Americana, and Southern Rock. Their music has sing along melodies, and Texas anthems such as the song “Little Bit”, about the Hill Country and drinking beer under the Texas sun.
The City Revival was formed in the fall of 2012 by friends John Grof and Patrick Freeman. The two original members soon added lead guitarist Chuck Rodriguez, and not long after, Matt Starnes joined on to play drums. The band finalized their lineup in early 2013 with the addition of Justin Komin, playing fiddle, banjo, and mandolin.
The City Revival’s distinct sound comes directly from the musical influences of all five members of the band. They get things rocking with the driving southern rock song “City Lights” as they take you on a musical journey with songs like “Back When”, “Last Stand”, “Hold On”, and “Hello Lovely”. They slow things down with life lessons, and tributes to their loved ones with songs like “Still Burning” and “Million Light Years Away”.
The City Revival’s journey is just beginning, and this five piece band is excited about sharing their music and passion for performing.
