The City Watch

BandFolkRock

The City Watch blends their morass of instruments into a sound equal parts folk-rock and indie. Accordions, trumpets, guitars, piano, xylophones and drums sit neatly around songs influenced from the rich musical depths of Bob Dylan, Nick Cave, Neutral Milk Hotel, and Bright Eyes.

Biography

The City Watch blends their morass of instruments into a sound equal parts folk-rock and indie. Accordions, trumpets, guitars, piano, xylophones and drums sit neatly around songs influenced from the rich musical depths of Bob Dylan, Nick Cave, Neutral Milk Hotel, Bright Eyes and The Panics. Although each member is barely in their twenties their sound has been described as “timeless.

The six members, four of which met at a Perth boarding school, come from the far reaches of Western Australia.
